GoTo Cookie Notice
March 3, 2026
GoTo strives to be transparent about how we process personal information about you. This Cookie Notice explains what we cookies and similar technologies are, how and why we use them on our Sites (as defined in our Privacy Policy), and what choices we offer to you.
What are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies and similar technologies are designed to collect information about behavior and activities of individuals who interact with our Sites. Below are some of the most common types of Cookies. Because there are several different types of technologies that operate similarly to cookies, in this Notice we will use the term “Cookie” to discuss how we use them unless we specifically ref to a specific type of technology.
| TYPE | HOW THEY WORK |
| Cookies | Small text files that store information that websites place on a user’s device. For example, a cookie may remember your login, so you do not have to re-enter your credentials each time you visit. To learn more about Cookies, visit www.aboutcookies.org. |
| Web Beacons (Also called Pixel Tags) | Tiny, often invisible images (1x1 pixel) embedded on web pages or emails. For example, a web beacon may help us understand how effective our marketing campaigns are. |
| JavaScript Trackers | Snippets of JavaScript code may be added to websites to monitor user interactions. For example, a tracker may log when you click a button or submit a form. |
| Fingerprinting (also called Digital Fingerprints) | A technique that builds a unique “fingerprint” (profile) of a device by collecting a set of features and characteristics from it (e.g. navigator language, window screen, time zone, location, CPU vendor, memory size, or image processing) for several purposes, such as enhancing security, fraud detection, or adapting your experience on our Sites. For example, fingerprinting can help detect unusual login locations as a fraud prevention measure. |
| Local Storage / DOM Storage | Browser-based storage mechanisms that allow our Sites to store data directly within your browser. For example, local storage may keep your Site theme preferences even after you close your browser. |
| Session Replay or Heatmapping Scripts | Technology that captures scrolling, mouse movements, and clicks during a user’s visit. For example, these tools help us identify which parts of a webpage users interact with the most, such as highlighting where users most frequently click or hover with their mouse, which helps website owners improve users’ experience. |
| These tools may also help us review actions taken by a user to help us diagnose issues with our Sites. |
We use Cookies on our Sites that we set (first party Cookies), and Cookies that belong to other parties, such as advertisers and analytics providers (third party Cookies). Some Cookies last only while you interact with our Sites (Session Cookies), which some may persist after you have left our Sites until they expire or you delete them (Persistent Cookies).
What Information Is Collected from Cookies?
The information a Cookie obtains may differ by its purpose. For example, a Cookie may obtain information about what pages a user visits, what features users engage with most frequently, click patterns, device type, or other similar information. They may collect non-personal data, such as the number of times a page was clicked, or a form was completed. They also may collect information that may be personal data, such as a user’s IP address, a unique identifier for an individual that is paired with behavioral characteristics (preferences, usage, etc.), login details, and similar information. Cookies do not collect and store directly identifiable information about you, such as your name or address; nor do they store sensitive information about you, such as your credit card number.
Why Do We Use Cookies?
We use Cookies for several purposes. To help our Site visitors decide which Cookies they want to permit and which they do not, we also group them into categories, discussed later in this policy, which can be enabled and disabled.
| Purpose | Examples of How We Fulfill the Purpose |

| To analyze how visitors use and interact with our Sites so that we can make them better | To assess how Site visitors use our Sites, including by analyzing clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, navigation patterns and other actions, to improve Site usability and troubleshooting. The tools we use may include session replay and heatmapping technologies, which help us or our service providers understand, improve, research, and troubleshoot our Sites as visitors navigate through them. |
| To tailor advertising to Site visitors | To provide you with advertisements that are relevant to you, on our Site and elsewhere. |
| To facilitate social sharing | To integrate social media features and tracking engagement with content. |
In certain cases, we may share your personal data with third parties, including analytics providers, advertising partners, and social media networks, who may use it to provide or improve their services and or improve your online experience, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Categories of Trackers
We group the Cookies on our Site by the purposes for which they are deployed.
| Cookie Category | Explanation | Purpose |
| Strictly Necessary Cookies | These Cookies are necessary for our Site(s) to function and to provide for their security. They cannot be switched off in our systems. When used for preference management, they are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these Cookies, but some parts of the Site may not then work. These Cookies do not store any personally identifiable information. | To operate and secure our Sites and to comply with the law |
| Functional Cookies | These Cookies enable the Site to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. | Performance Cookies | These Cookies provide us information about the performance and usability of our Site, including page load times, response times, and errors. They allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the Site, including by recording details such as movements and mouse clicks. Information these Cookies collect are either aggregated and therefore anonymous or uniquely identify your browser and/or your internet device. If you do not allow these Cookies we will not know when you have visited our Site, and will not be able to monitor its performance. | To analyze how visitors use and interact with our Sites so that we can make them better. |
| Targeting Cookies | These Cookies may be set through our Site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. If you do not allow these Cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools. | To facilitate social sharing |
What are your choices?
You have choices about which Cookies you allow. Please note, your Cookie settings are specific to a device and browser. If you use multiple devices or browsers to access our Sites, you must adjust your choices for each. Clearing your Cookies or switching browsers or devices will also require you to update your settings. The list of Cookies we use on our Site can be viewed via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of our Site. Please note, this list is subject to change over time.
Using our Cookie Preferences Tool. How Cookies behave on our site may vary by jurisdiction. For example, in certain jurisdictions such as the EU, we get your permission before we set certain Cookies. In these jurisdictions , except for “strictly necessary cookies” you can always adjust your Cookie preference (i.e., allow or decline Cookies) at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of our Site. In other jurisdictions, such as the United States, we provide you with the right to opt out of certain Cookies that may facilitate activities such as cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. In those jurisdictions, you can adjust your opt-out preferences at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of our Site.
If you change your Cookie preferences after they have been set, you may still see the information about the Cookie(s) in your browser, but it/they will not be collecting information about you.
Adjusting your Browser Settings.
Most web browsers automatically accept Cookies; however, you can adjust your browser’s default Cookies by adjusting the settings within your internet browser. For example, web browsers may provide controls that allow you to block or delete Cookies. They may also notify you when you receive a new Cookie. Instructions for blocking or deleting Cookies in your browser may be available in its privacy settings or help documentation. You can still view our Sites if you choose to set your browser to refuse all non-essential cookies; however, certain features may not operate correctly or at all.Enabling the Global Privacy Control Setting. GoTo Sites that link to this Cookie Notice recognize Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals where they are required by law, and will inform you when they are detected. These are opt-out signals communicated through the browser-based extension offered through the Global Privacy Control, a non-profit organization that has developed a tool that can be used universally to signal a user’s privacy preferences. Where required by law, if this setting is detected, the Site will not set Performance, Targeting, and Social Cookies. Requests made through the GPC extension apply only to the device on which the request is made and will only work with the browser used to activate the opt-out setting. For more details, including how to turn on GPC, please visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. Enabling GPC may cause certain features to not operate or to operate incorrectly.
In the United States, certain regulators, such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has promoted the adoption of “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals that allow Internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites by using browser settings. Currently, there is no universally accepted standard for how Sites should respond to DNT signals. As a result, Site does not currently respond to these browser settings.
Using Provider and Industry Opt-Out Features. Certain Cookie providers and industry associations enable you to opt-out of their Cookies. For example:
• We use Google Analytics as described in "How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps." We also use Google Consent Mode to help us comply with applicable privacy laws. You can prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics on our websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available here. For enhanced privacy purposes, we also employ IP address masking, a technique used to truncate IP addresses collected by Google Analytics and store them in an abbreviated form to prevent them from being traced back to individual users. Portions of our website may also use Google Analytics for Display Advertisers including DoubleClick or Dynamic Remarketing which provide interest-based ads based on your visit to this or other websites. You can use Ads Settings to manage the Google ads you see and opt-out of interest-based ads. If you opt out of interest-based ads, you may still see our advertisements, although they will not be targeted to you. Similarly, you can exercise your rights with respect to use of this data as described in the "Exercising Choice" section below.
• Some of our advertising and analytics partners may set Cookies your device when you visit our Site. Certain of these providers participate in industry self-regulatory programs such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAI). If you would like to learn more about these programs or make choices about the use of information by participating companies, including opting out of interest-based advertising, you may visit the following websites:
• Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out: http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/
• Digital Advertising Alliance (DAI) Opt-Out: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/
Opting out through these programs does not mean you will no longer see online advertising; it means the providers from whom you opted out will no longer deliver targeted ads to you.

We may update this Cookie Notice periodically. When we do so, they will be effective when we post the updated Cookie Notice to our Site. If we make any material changes, we will notify you and provide you an opportunity to review before you choose to continue using our Sites or maintaining your Cookie preferences.
