Jive Expansion Reflects Business Growth in Silicon Slopes

Recently, CNBC and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce ranked Utah as the No. 1 state in the nation for business. Jive Communications has been part of that business growth and people are starting to notice it. The Deseret News, KSL, and the Daily Herald all reported on the amazing success we’ve seen. With monumental expansion and even more growth set for 2017, we’re building momentum to continue as the top-ranked Hosted VoIP provider in the U.S.

With our origins in the heart of Silicon Slopes, we’re quickly joining the top tech companies that call Utah home. We were “born and raised” in Utah County and that has been a great advantage according to John Pope, co-founder and CEO at Jive. We have no reason to leave and we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Here are a few notable items we’re working on in 2017. We plan to:

  • Add 200 more employees to our already 500 strong employees.
  • Build a new Jive Headquarters to host our Utah-based employees.
  • Release more products for our customers.
  • Improve and update existing products.

Jive started in 2006 with only six developers. The Jive founders were evaluating phone systems, and decided to make their own—and Jive Communications was born. According to Mike Sharp, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, they wanted to create a business phone system that wouldn’t be so painful, overpriced, or complex. That’s why they developed products that save time, provide more features, and cause less pain.

After 10 years, we’re off to a great start as a national leader in the business communications industry. We look forward to more success as Utah continues to grow into the tech hub for the Rocky Mountains.
