Twins and Rays Split First Two Games

The Twins played the Rays for the Beverly Hills AAA Little League Championship. The Rays only loss during the regular season was due to a forfeit and they were heavily favored. In the double elimination tournament, the Twins won the first game, 5-4, with the game ending due to runner interference at home plate. The Rays won the second game 22-8, in the process using one of their top pitchers to throw 60 plus pitches, making him ineligible for the third and deciding game.

Third and Deciding Game

The Rays started their best pitcher, who had yet to yield a run all year long to the Twins. In the first inning, the Twins started to hit the ball and by the end of the top of the first, had plated 3 runs. Two home runs (Little League home runs) added to the lead but the Rays kept clawing back. 7-6 Twins going into the last inning. The Twins got an insurance run and in the bottom of the 6th, the Rays loaded the bases and had scored one run with their best hitter coming up. The Twins pitcher, Noah, got two strikes on their hitter before getting him to hit a ground ball to short for the third out. The Twins win and are BHLL AAA Champions!
